Deruta school of ceramics

Our school is located in Deruta, one of Italy's most renowned ceramic manufacturing areas. Deruta is recognized worldwide for the quality of its ceramic production and many of its works have been exhibited in the finest museums. Our school is best-suited for advanced amateurs and professional ceramists and is tailored to ceramists who wish to learn or perfect the advanced skills and techniques of ceramic design and production for which Deruta is famous. .

Classes / Theory Thanks to our professional staff, we can offer advanced and accredited techniques for the creation of ceramics ranging from the more basic techniques to the most sophisticated expressions that make ceramics such a fine art. Our methods guarantee a valuable learning experience and superlative quality of work.

Classes / Workshops : The ceramic student will have all the necessary equipment to perform decoration, throwing at the potters wheel and / or raku, and he/she will be working under the supervision of our expert staff members. This will ensure the quality of the works and will help focus the student's capabilities. The works are included in the price, and will be given to the students upon completion of the course. We also offer courses in ceramic Restoration, Reductions, Molding and Luster (Lustri)

Schedule : The Deruta school of ceramic art is open the whole year, 8 hours a day Monday through Friday, and students will choose a schedule of attendance according to their needs (special arrangements can be made).
All of our courses in the art of ceramics, whether basic or advanced, are tailored to each student to ensure that their individual capabilities are not stifled in a general curriculum .

School of Ceramics : Our ceramic workshops and courses will be structured individually , according to each student's pre-assessed preparation tests .

Our Goal: We teach Ceramics from beginner level to the hobbiest as well. Our goal is however aimed toward the professional .

2007 Ceramics & Mosaic Workshop Preview

C.L.S. ( Free Ceramic Experimental ) in order to commemorate
the 10 year of Activity will organize several workshops
together with the School of Ceramics Scuola d'Arte Ceramica
"Romano Ranieri". This special courses will be held by
famous Artists and 'Maestri'.
